The F106 preamp, originally supplied by Spectra-Tek*, will raise the small mV signals of turbine flow meter pickup coils to a satisfactory level for transmission over several kilometres. One pre-amplifier is required for each pick-up coil. The equipment is designed for use in the petrochemical industry and is BASEEFA certified for hazardous areas.
Two F106 pre-amplifiers in combination with a dual pulse receiver satisfy the Institute of Petroleum level 'A' requirements, defined in IP252/76 when used with an appropriate enclosure*.
*Spectra-Tek typically supplied the F106 preamp in the H27 enclosure, which we can no longer supply. We can supply the preamps loose for mounting into an existing enclosure or supply them within a new enclosure. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding enclosures.
