Last week Swinton Technology (A Sensia Company) completed the Factory Acceptance of six Metering systems destined for Nigeria. A team comprising Heirs Oil & Gas (HHOG), National Petroleum Investment Services (NAPIMS) and Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) witnessed the testing of the systems at our Malton site. Following the testing was five days of comprehensive training led by Kenneth McDougal of Sensia Global and included training of the sampling system by Duane Rohan who flew in from Houston especially.
Four units will shortly be shipped directly to Nigeria, whilst two units will be heading to Dubai where they will be integrated with other equipment supplied by Sensia for further tests. The system comprises of 3 Flow-X flow computers configured to measure two streams and a master meter prover connecting to Coriolis meters and an array of transducers located on a skid with all the associated pipework and valves. The metering panels will be housed in a small kiosk and powered entirely by solar panels.
