TruST Auto-configuration Installation - Turkey
A solution provided by Swinton Technology in partnership AKSA
In 2017 Swinton Technology developed a metering solution for a gas station in Afyonkarahisar, Turkey working alongside a Turkish company (AKSA). During this period, Swinton Technology designed and developed a metering solution to satisfy the Turkish gas authority’s detailed specification which was then officially approved by the Turkish gas authority (BOTAS).
Over the following months, working closely with both the Turkish vendor and the Turkish gas authority, a detailed software specification was agreed and Swinton Technology developed an auto-configuration version of TruST. This allowed each future gas station to be configured using a simple ten-step process within the TruST user interface. Using the auto-configuration a maximum of twenty flow computers can be assigned to a maximum of five metering stations. The process allows flexible and optional configuration of gas chromatographs and connectivity. Features not required are disabled to minimise resource loading of the low/medium specification industrial touch screen PCs in a very competitive and price-sensitive Turkish market.
The auto-configuration version of TruST provides many standard and enhanced features: reports stored in a database for easy archive retrieval in PDF and Excel formats, comprehensive alarming, and event information. Another benefit of the auto-configuration software is that it allows the Turkish gas authority visibility of each system. This is achieved using a DNP3 link for efficient data communication via a fibre network or a cellular mobile modem. A web server is also available for remote viewing over the same links.
Currently, there are almost seventy auto-configuration TruST installations in almost all provinces of Turkey.
